Questionable care, ethics and cleanliness! by LWildin - 03/06/2009
In Dec of 2008, we purchased 2 kittens from their office for our children. Immediately upon bringing them home, they had horrible diarrhea. Since the office made us sign a contract, only guaranteeing their health for 3 days, we rushed them back to find that they had Coccidia (a bacterial infection), Dr. VanderPool gave us medication and said it should get better in a few days. We scheduled a follow up visit combined with our kitten "well-check and next vaccines" (which was included in our initial cost). The kittens seemed a little better, so the Dr. said just continue the medication. The kittens had flee infestation, Dr gave them flee medication. After 21 days on the Coccidia medication, these kittens still had severe diarrhea. We had to quarantine them in our house, because of the mess they made. We decided to get a 2nd opinion. The other Vet stated that these kittens were in poor condition and that you get healthier kittens from the Human Society! The kittens were full of tape worms
